Job description

Environmental and Employee Health & Safety work encompasses activities related to the environment and employees, including developing policies to mitigate hazardous conditions, investigating incidents, liaising with regulatory authorities, providing advice/training, and conducting audits. As an Entry Professional (P1), you will report to the HSE Lead to support plant safety performance through daily HSE patrolling, reporting unsafe acts/conditions, facilitating accident investigations, maintaining safety records, coordinating safety committee meetings, and auditing firefighting/first aid equipment.

Responsibilities

1. Report to the HSE Lead and support the safety performance of the plant at regular intervals. 2. Perform daily HSE patrolling and report unsafe acts and conditions along with recommended actions. 3. Handle matters related to reporting and investigation of industrial accidents and diseases to the inspectorate of factories. 4. Facilitate accident investigation and the implementation of corrective actions and procedures. 5. Maintain all necessary records relating to first aid, medical treatment cases, lost time injury, disabling injury, and fatality. 6. Coordinate unit safety committee meetings and organize campaigns, competitions, and contests to maintain worker interest in safe working conditions. 7. Ensure MSDS availability for all chemicals used in the plant and disseminate information to all employees. 8. Audit firefighting and first aid equipment periodically and provide monthly reports to the Unit Head. 9. Discuss reports on safety, environmental, and occupational health surveys, safety audits, risk assessment, and emergency management plans. 10. Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. 11. Education qualifications

1. B. Tech / B.Sc / Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering 2. Additional qualification: Advance / Post Diploma in Industrial Safety 3. 2–5 years of experience in HSE domain in Manufacturing, Process Safety, with exposure in Construction Safety 4. Proficiency in both spoken and written English language
