Godrej Properties Limited is hiring a Manager – Safety in Mumbai, India with 12–15 years of experience in construction and project site safety. The role involves leading safety audits, enforcing BOCWA compliance, managing contractor HSE resources, and maintaining site risk controls.

Godrej Properties Limited is seeking an experienced Manager – Safety to oversee project safety inspections, audits, and compliance across real estate development sites in Mumbai. The role is responsible for enforcing company EHS policies, supervising contractor safety teams, ensuring compliance with BOCW regulations, performing HIRA assessments, and reporting site incidents promptly to leadership.

1. Implement company policies, safety programs, and procedures and assess their effectiveness periodically. 2. Ensure adequate safety infrastructure is established and maintained, including first aid, safety induction, emergency medical assistance, sanitation, labour camp, and access controls. 3. Prepare and implement a monthly activity schedule for inspection, audit, training, and safety campaigns in alignment with the contractor's safety plan. 4. Check and ensure contractors provide and maintain required welfare and sanitation facilities at the project site and labour camp per the BOCW Act & Contract Labour Act. 5. Assess PPE quality, stock adequacy, and effective usage by contractors and site personnel. 6. Register customer safety complaints/feedback and execute corrective action plans. 7. Record and report incidents to the Project Manager and Regional Safety In-Charge immediately by phone, followed by a detailed report within 8 hours. 8. Audit and review site safety plans, site logistics plans, and contractual requirements. 9. Conduct periodic inventory reviews, inspections, and preventive maintenance checks on earth-moving equipment, electrical tools, and lifting gear to ensure statutory compliance. 10. Review housekeeping, health, and hygiene standards inside and along the perimeter of the site and labour camps. 11. Monitor work environment parameters such as illumination, noise, dust, and fumes in offices, site projects, and labour camps. 12. Provide periodic feedback to the Project Manager and Regional Safety In-Charge regarding compliances, critical deviations, preventive measures, and contractor performance.

1. BE in Civil / Mechanical or Science Graduate. 2. Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from a State Board of Technical Education (recognized under BOCWA) or Diploma in Construction Management (NICMAR). 3. Diploma in QA and ISO:9000. 4. Prior exposure to different projects (Roads, Construction, Plant) as Safety Officer.
