HSE Officer

alfanar is hiring an HSE Officer for its Lamar Factory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The candidate will oversee site HSE compliance, conduct risk assessments, lead daily safety inspections, and maintain HSE documentation. Requires a Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health Tech and 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.

The HSE Officer at Lamar Factory (alfanar) is responsible for ensuring the implementation and adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site. Duties include monitoring compliance, conducting risk assessments, delivering safety training, maintaining HSE equipment, and developing emergency response plans to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

1. Assist in ensuring HSE compliance through regular assessments, monitoring, and recommending corrective actions at work areas. 2. Participate in HSE risk assessments, assist in defining protection/prevention measures, and support the implementation of control measures to mitigate significant risks. 3. Support the review and maintenance of protection and prevention systems based on HSE requirements. 4. Assist in incorporating HSE factors into business processes, projects, and departmental culture. 5. Help ensure staff awareness of HSE responsibilities and assist in providing relevant training as per guidelines. 6. Support the delivery of training on HSE policy and instructions for new employees and subcontractors. 7. Assist in the implementation of operating procedures for managing occupational safety, health risks, and environmental impact. 8. Help check and maintain HSE equipment. 9. Support the development and implementation of emergency plans, assist in identifying and training emergency response teams, and help communicate team details to all employees. 10. Assist in leading and controlling safe evacuations during emergencies. 11. Assist in monitoring and reporting on the execution of the HSE management system/plan to the unit manager and HSE team. 12. Conduct daily safety site inspections to identify potential hazards and assist in controlling risks. 13. Support the planning and monitoring of all on-site activities to ensure alignment with HSE rules and procedures. 14. Communicate HSE issues/initiatives during business meetings. 15. Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining all HSE documentation and records in the unit system.
