Safety Officer (Recycled Water)

Stantec is hiring a Safety Officer (Recycled Water) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to oversee daily health and safety operations on water network construction sites. The role involves managing traffic diversion schemes, maintaining risk assessment records, and providing technical HSE support. Candidates must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering/Safety, at least 2 years of network construction safety experience, and a valid UAE driving license.

The Safety Officer shall carry out the day-to-day operations of the health and safety of the Project site and contribute to the application of effective Health and Safety management by providing technical support. He must have full knowledge of all aspects of safety material, civil engineering construction, and emergency procedures. The role requires knowledge of DM and RTA standards, experience in traffic diversion schemes, risk assessment reporting, and preferred experience in recycled water, sewage, and pumping station construction supervision projects.

1. Carry out day-to-day health and safety operations on the project site. 2. Contribute to effective Health and Safety management by providing technical support. 3. Apply full knowledge of safety materials, civil engineering construction, and emergency procedures. 4. Prepare and manage traffic diversion schemes at work zones. 5. Maintain relevant records and generate activity reports for Risk Assessment and Risk Management.

1. Diploma in Civil Engineering or Safety from a relevant tertiary institute. 2. Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of safety of networks construction. 3. Training in OSHA H2S awareness, Basic Fire Fighting, and Preventive Medicine Department. 4. Passing the Road Safety interview held by the prequalification committee. 5. Good knowledge of DM and RTA safety and engineering standards. 6. Solid experience in maintaining records and generating activity reports for Risk Assessment and Risk Management. 7. Valid U.A.E. driving license. 8. Additional traffic safety certificates are advantageous.
