Job description

Worley is seeking an experienced HSE professional to lead and manage project HSE activities on Zirku Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The candidate will ensure HSSE goals and objectives are met through personal leadership, direct EPC/FEED contractors, oversee risk assessments, drive safety performance, and interface with owner operations and project management teams for mega offshore Oil & Gas projects.

Responsibilities

1. Champion project safety culture, behaviors, and engagement activities. 2. Lead a team of HSE professionals including Senior HSE Engineers and HSE Officers. 3. Provide HSE management leadership and support at program level for Owner's project activities. 4. Develop and implement written HSE procedures and plans on Owner's behalf for EPC / FEED Contractor guidance. 5. Identify, evaluate, and resolve HSE issues during the EPC phase of the works. 6. Ensure effective design HSE management processes meet legal/regulatory requirements and Owner's standards. 7. Ensure Project emergency response plans and medical evacuation arrangements are complete, current, and drilled regularly. 8. Participate actively in onsite HSE inspections, safety committee meetings, incident investigations, QA/QC audits, and pre-task planning sessions. 9. Monitor timely implementation of corrective actions identified by HSSEQ assessments. 10. Interface and coordinate with Owner's Operations, Maintenance, and HSSE management. 11. Lead/participate in project root cause investigations and communicate lessons learned. 12. Chair weekly HSSEQ meetings with contractors and analyze leading and lagging indicators.

Education qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university. 2. Minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry. 3. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position in mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects. 4. ADNOC project experience is required. 5. Offshore project experience is required. 6. PMC experience is required. 7. Experience in FEED & EPC phases is required. 8. Sound understanding of HSE Management System and HSE legislative requirements. 9. Broad knowledge and experience in risk assessments and audit processes. 10. Competency in PTW system, gas testing, H2S, and Breathing Apparatus. 11. Strong communication skills with proficiency in spoken, read, and written English.
