HSE Specialist

NOV is seeking an HSE Specialist in Dammam, Saudi Arabia to support the development and monitoring of HSE 360 programs. The position involves performing safety inspections, investigating incidents, maintaining ISO 45001 compliance documentation, and tracking safety performance. Requires 3+ years of HSE experience along with certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, IOSH, or ISO 45001.

The HSE Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety of individuals and the environment by assisting in the implementation and monitoring of HSE 360 programs and practices. He/She will work closely with the HSE Manager to identify and assess potential hazards, develop safety protocols, and educate staff on safe work practices. Key responsibilities include maintaining HSE documentation, conducting hazard inspections, managing incident reporting, supporting ISO 45001 compliance, and monitoring EHS performance metrics. Candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant HSE experience and possess certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, or ISO 45001.

1. Coordinate and support in the development and implementation of HSE 360 programs and policies. 2. Maintain and update HSE documentation and records. 3. Perform HSE inspections and hazard assessments of facilities and equipment. 4. Investigate and report HSE incidents and violations. 5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence positive change. 6. Provide administrative support to the Health, Safety, and Environment department. 7. Coordinate and ensure document management and data entry of HSE files under various information systems as part of the ISO 45001 certifications. 8. Regularly ensure updates are made to the HSE files. 9. Plan, coordinate, and monitor HSE activities. 10. Provide logistics and follow the schedules of HSE activities: training, internal and external audit, internal/external inspection, HSE Management Review, etc. 11. Update HSE performance and compliance indicators. 12. Any other related tasks as required by management.

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE Specialist or similar role. 2. NEBOSH IGC 1+2 – OSHA or IOSH Managing Safely. ISO 45001 or equivalent certificates. 3. Knowledge of the manufacturing industry (an important asset). 4. Mastering of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). 5. Is professional, resourceful, autonomous, and discreet. 6. Demonstrates an excellent team spirit and is task focused. 7. Capable of multitasking and handling several files at once while prioritizing them. 8. Demonstrates good judgement and a good sense of analysis. 9. Excellent interpersonal skills and capable of communicating effectively with a wide range of individuals. 10. Excellent English language both written and spoken.
