Job description
Job Purpose Statement:
The role is responsible for leading the Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) agenda for the PepsiCo India Operating Unit to meet internal and external benchmarks of excellence. It ensures that all products are manufactured in accordance with PepsiCo Environmental Standards, while effectively managing risks to employees and the environment in compliance with local legislation and PepsiCo minimum requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Serve as the India Region EHS subject matter expert, influencing and mentoring site-based resources
- Develop, implement, and maintain the local audit program, including self-assessments and tracking closure of corrective actions
- Develop and lead the EHS strategic plan for India Region, ensuring alignment with regional and global EHS strategies
- Leverage and deploy global EHS best practices across India operations
- Ensure compliance with GEHSMS standards across all India Region operations
- Provide ongoing leadership, guidance, and expertise on all health, safety, and environmental matters
- Lead and manage a team of direct and indirect reports to execute the EHS strategic agenda
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal, regulatory, and PepsiCo EHS requirements; ensure business awareness of any changes
- Assess, identify, and mitigate environmental and safety risks; implement corrective and preventive measures
- Drive and embed a culture of environmental and safety responsibility across the organization
- Integrate EHS into the overall business and operational management framework
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical preferred)
- Additional qualification in Environmental Management (preferred)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in EHS roles within manufacturing/FMCG environment
- Demonstrated experience interacting with manufacturing functions
- Proven project management experience

Education qualifications
1. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical preferred)

5. Proven project management experience
6. In-depth knowledge of EHS laws, regulations, and compliance standards
7. Strong understanding of safety audits, risk frameworks, systems, and continuous improvement frameworks (Lean, etc.)
