Deputy Manager - Fire & Safety (TPP)

Adani Power Limited is hiring a Deputy Manager - Fire & Safety for its Thermal Power Plant operations in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. The position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in industrial fire and safety management, emergency preparedness, and statutory safety standards.

Adani Power Limited is seeking a Deputy Manager - Fire & Safety (TPP) for its facility in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. The successful candidate will oversee fire protection systems, emergency response planning, safety risk assessments, statutory compliance, incident investigations, contractor safety, and safety training across thermal power operations.

1. Ensure operational readiness of fire detection, alarm, hydrant, sprinkler, foam, gas suppression, and firefighting systems. 2. Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance monitoring of firefighting equipment and facilities. 3. Develop and execute emergency response plans, disaster management plans, and evacuation procedures. 4. Organize and conduct mock drills for fire emergencies and other emergency scenarios. 5. Implement site safety policies, procedures, and standards in line with statutory and organizational requirements. 6. Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for plant and project activities. 7. Monitor safe work practices during construction, erection, commissioning, and operational activities. 8. Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Work at Height, Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, and Electrical Safety procedures. 9. Investigate fire incidents, accidents, and near-miss events and recommend corrective and preventive actions. 10. Maintain compliance with Factory Act, National Building Code (NBC), Petroleum Rules, and other applicable statutory requirements. 11. Support internal and external safety audits and ensure timely closure of observations. 12. Conduct Fire & Safety induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors. 13. Organize awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. 14. Develop competency levels of emergency response teams and firefighting personnel. 15. Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure adherence to project safety requirements. 16. Conduct contractor safety audits and inspections. 17. Ensure compliance with PPE requirements and safe work practices at site. 18. Maintain records related to fire incidents, emergency drills, inspections, audits, training, and statutory requirements. 19. Prepare MIS reports, safety performance reports, and management presentations.

1. Minimum 4+ years of experience in Fire & Safety within Thermal Power Plants, Power Projects, Heavy Engineering, Steel or Process Industries. 2. Hands-on experience in fire protection systems, emergency preparedness, and industrial safety management. 3. Sound knowledge of statutory safety regulations and fire safety standards. 4. Experience in safety audits, incident investigations, and contractor safety management. 5. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team coordination skills.
