SR. SAFETY OFFICER

QatarEnergy is seeking a Senior Safety Officer to plan, direct, and lead safety activities for its Doha HSE division. The role requires ensuring compliance with corporate safety rules and national regulations, as well as troubleshooting HSE issues and reducing workplace accidents. Candidates must hold an Engineering degree, a safety diploma/NEBOSH, and over 8 years of professional HSE experience.

Primary Purpose of the Job Plan, direct and lead safety activities for the Doha HSE division. Develop systems to ensure that QATARENERGY personnel and contractors adhere to the corporation's safety rules and regulations and safe work practices. Troubleshoots safety problems or queries as they arise and provide advice and assistance aimed at reducing accidents and losses. Coordinate with other governmental agencies and QATARENERGY departments to ensure national safety regulations are followed in QATARENERGY owned work places. Required Experience and Skills - Post Graduate diploma in safety or NEBOSH or equivalent - In excess 8 years professional experience in HSE field - Good knowledge of latest safety systems to ensure work place safety management. - Leadership, command and control skills - Problem solving and motivational skills - Good presentation and investigational skills - Good data interpretation and compilation skills - Ability to write specifications and prepare mandate reports - Ability to work effectively with various personnel and in teams and be flexible in work assignments. Educational Qualifications B.Sc or equivalent in Engineering discipline
