Job description

Alstom is seeking a full-time EHS Site Manager in Savli to oversee environmental, health, and safety management. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for employees and contractors while minimizing environmental impacts and safeguarding company assets. You will work closely with site management, EHS engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to implement EHS policies, support operational management, and ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements.

Responsibilities

1. Supporting site management in achieving EHS performance goals 2. Driving the implementation of EHS policies and improvement plans 3. Conducting EHS risk assessments and implementing control measures 4. Preparing and maintaining emergency plans at the site level 5. Ensuring subcontractor activities meet EHS standards 6. Leading and developing the EHS team at the site 7. Developing and deploying local EHS procedures and tools 8. Monitoring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements 9. Fostering a strong EHS culture and facilitating continuous improvement 10. Conducting EHS training and communication initiatives 11. Reporting, analyzing, and reviewing EHS performance data 12. Leading internal EHS audits and inspections

Education qualifications

1. University degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field 2. Health & Safety qualification recognized by local authorities 3. Environmental qualification (Diploma or Degree level) is desirable 4. Proven experience or understanding of EHS risk assessment and management 5. Knowledge of EHS management systems and statutory compliance 6. Strong teamwork and leadership skills 7. Excellent communication and coaching abilities 8. Analytical thinking and a rigorous mindset 9. Proficiency in computer skills 10. Familiarity with continuous improvement tools
