Environment Specialist

Renardet is hiring a Senior Environment Specialist in Muscat, Oman to join its multidisciplinary consulting team. The role focuses on conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), performing biological field visits, and utilizing advanced GIS and remote sensing tools. Candidates must have at least 10 years of environmental consulting experience in the GCC region and registration with the Oman Society of Engineers.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Specialist to join our multidisciplinary consulting team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in environmental engineering, ecological conservation, and geospatial analysis. They will conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) as a team member, conduct intensive terrestrial/marine field visits, and utilize advanced GIS, remote sensing, and environmental modelling tools to deliver regulatory-compliant solutions. Key Responsibilities: - EIA and Regulatory Compliance: Preparing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Management Plans (EMP), and Environmental Performance Reports in strict compliance with regional frameworks and international guidelines. - Field Surveys and Ecological Assessments: Plan and execute comprehensive ecological and biological field visits to assess wildlife habitats, biodiversity, and sensitive ecosystems (flora and fauna). - Geospatial Analysis: Utilize GIS and Remote Sensing platforms to produce high-quality environmental baseline maps, habitat classifications, and land-use analysis datasets.

1. Prepare Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Management Plans (EMP), and Environmental Performance Reports in strict compliance with regional frameworks and international guidelines. 2. Plan and execute comprehensive ecological and biological field visits to assess wildlife habitats, biodiversity, and sensitive ecosystems (flora and fauna). 3. Utilize GIS and Remote Sensing platforms to produce high-quality environmental baseline maps, habitat classifications, and land-use analysis datasets.

1. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline (Master's is a plus). 2. Membership with the Oman Society of Engineers is obligatory. 3. Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in environmental consulting or engineering within the GCC region. 4. 10+ years of work experience with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). 5. 8+ years of work experience with Geospatial Modeling. 6. 8+ years of work experience with Construction Environmental Management. 7. Advanced proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS Pro / QGIS), Remote Sensing analysis tools, and industry-standard Environmental Modeling software.
