Operation and Maintenance Engineer

Veolia is hiring an Operation and Maintenance Engineer in Saudi Arabia to oversee water treatment and distribution systems. The role requires an engineering degree, background in water industry operations, and knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.

We are seeking a dedicated Operation and Maintenance Engineer to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of our water facilities in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining system reliability, optimizing performance, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies to support our mission of delivering clean and safe water. Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of water treatment and distribution systems. - Conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement corrective actions promptly. - Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. - Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, upgrades, and installation of new equipment. - Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. - Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, operational data, and reports for management review. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and implement innovative solutions.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 2. Proven experience in operation and maintenance within the water industry or similar sectors. 3. Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and maintenance practices. 4. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and provide effective solutions. 5. Familiarity with relevant local regulations and safety standards in Saudi Arabia. 6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach. 7. Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency call-outs as needed.
