HSSE OFFICER

Seeking an HSSE Officer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to manage site safety, plant and warehouse hygienic conditions, emergency preparedness, and machinery safety. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, risk assessments, safety trainings, and accident investigations. The candidate will ensure full compliance with OHS policies and foster safety awareness across all levels.

The HSSE Officer is responsible for conducting periodical safety rounds across plant and warehouse facilities, ensuring hygienic conditions, checking safe machinery operations, maintaining fire-fighting equipment, monitoring hot works, providing first-aid training, leading risk assessments, and investigating accidents/incidents to enforce Occupational Health and Safety policies.

1. Conducts periodical safety rounds around entire area of company premises for ensuring safe atmosphere and condition. 2. Ensures plant & warehouses Safety and hygienic condition are maintained and reports deviation if any. 3. Ensures plant related employees are wearing appropriate overalls/clothing's and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). 4. Checks the Safe operation and condition of machineries across production area. 5. Ensures perfect condition of fire-fighting equipments thru periodical maintenance and re-filling of equipments as applicable. 6. Maintains necessary documents for recording the daily, weekly and monthly HSE inspection activities. 7. Monitors the hot works & ensures they are carried out with due permission and safe condition across the plant. 8. Coordinates with Security guards in line with visitors' movements, keeping track of entry and exit to company premises. 9. When required, conduct Safety & first-aid on the job trainings for new recruits. 10. Participates in evacuation drills and ensures clear access to fire extinguishers and hose cabinets. 11. Takes fire preventive measures on need basis especially during summer time. 12. Monitors condition of drainages/canals and ensures them against infestation through pest control spray activities. 13. Monitors cycle chart of the facility roof top, walls, light shadows, and electrical panels. 14. Ensures availability and maintains first-aid equipment accessories, providing first aid in case of accident. 15. Follows up on implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Policies, programs and procedures, increasing health and safety awareness. 16. Investigates and reports all serious / critical personal injury accidents occurring to staff, visitors or contractors, as well as property damage incidents. 17. Responds to employees safety concerns and immediately to fires and other emergency situations. 18. Coordinates registration and removal of hazardous waste. 19. Coordinates training of personnel in safety testing, first aid, CPR, accident prevention and investigation. 20. Conducts operational risk assessments on site, designs risk mitigation measures, and generates required HSE reports.
