Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Products - Technical File Reviewer

SGS is seeking a Technical File Reviewer for PPE Products based in Bangalore, India. The role involves reviewing technical documentation against PPE standards, drafting certificates, and coordinating with affiliate notified bodies. Candidates must have experience in PPE testing, auditing, or inspection, alongside knowledge of European legislation and CE marking.

The role of PPE Technical Assessor will involve undertaking technical file reviews of client's documentation over various PPE standards and drafting certificates upon completion and handling customers enquiries where required. A broad technical background is essential for this role. Technical Assessors should have work experience i.e. employment, auditing, testing or inspection within PPE environment. Understanding performance standards and assessing PPE technical documentation is a must. Candidate must have knowledge of the PPE products industry and an understanding of European legislation and CE marking, gained from a manufacturing, test and certification background and a technical qualification is desirable. Candidates must have a high level of attention to detail, with an analytical approach with excellent communication skills, candidate would have to have very good written and verbal English and a good level of computer literacy; with sound planning and organizational ability.

1. Undertake technical file reviews of clients' documentation across various PPE standards. 2. Draft certificates upon successful completion of technical reviews. 3. Handle customer technical enquiries in a timely and professional manner. 4. Coordinate efficiently with affiliate notified bodies to ensure timely certificate issuance. 5. Ensure technical file reviews are accurate and completed to the satisfaction of the SGS UK office.

1. Technical qualification in an appropriate subject with a demonstrated understanding of PPE design. 2. Work experience (employment, auditing, testing, or inspection) within a PPE environment and certification context. 3. Solid understanding of PPE performance standards and experience reviewing technical documentation. 4. Knowledge of the PPE products industry and understanding of European legislation and CE marking. 5. Familiarity with major PPE product lines including gloves, protective clothing, footwear, and respiratory masks. 6. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, high attention to detail, and computer literacy.
