Job description
Siemens Energy is looking for an EHS Officer (UAE National) to take ownership of the HSE Plan across UAE projects within the Substations Business Unit. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the EQS team, project management, contractors, and clients, you will keep operations safe, compliant, and running smoothly.
Key duties include developing and reviewing site HSE plans, delivering monthly HSE reports, acting as an on-site safety expert, leading toolbox talks, conducting proactive site monitoring, and ensuring QA and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and continuously review the site's HSE Plan to ensure alignment with project realities and evolving risks.
2. Deliver monthly HSE performance reporting to both the Client and Project Management.
3. Act as the on-site HSE expert, advising Project Management, engineers, and subcontractors on best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
4. Lead toolbox talks and regular HSE meetings with site representatives to reinforce safety awareness.
5. Conduct proactive site monitoring to identify unsafe practices, behaviors, and occupational health or welfare gaps.
6. Uphold QA procedures, regulatory requirements, and EHS compliance across all site activities while modeling Siemens' Business Conduct Guidelines.

Education qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, EHS, or a relevant field
2. NEBOSH International General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate
3. Fresh graduate or up to 3 years of practical, hands-on experience applying HSE practices in a live project or construction environment
4. Strong working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements and their on-site implementation
5. Familiarity with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks governing workplace safety
6. Demonstrated leadership capability to drive site-wide compliance and hold stakeholders accountable
7. Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to participate in risk evaluation and performance improvement
