EHS officer - Project Site

Siemens Energy India Limited is hiring a full-time EHS Officer for Project Sites based in Bangalore. The role requires a min. of 7 years in industrial safety, an Engineering/Science degree, and an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety. Candidates will oversee site safety, incident investigations, risk assessments, statutory compliance, and safety training.

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking an experienced EHS Officer for project site operations in Bangalore, Karnataka. The role involves balancing corporate safety management with on-site field support, reviewing safety performance, conducting risk assessments, executing site audits, ensuring statutory compliance, investigating incidents, and delivering safety training. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in industrial safety within construction, power plants, or manufacturing sectors, alongside recognized EHS qualifications.

1. Provide management and employees with competent EHS advice and action plans. 2. Provide guidance and support to management on the promotion and implementation of EHS strategies, procedures, guidelines, and goals for continuous improvements across assigned sites. 3. Provide enabling support to management on the implementation of EHS strategies, procedures, guidelines, and legislation. 4. Ensure environment and health impacts and significant risks are identified, reviewed, communicated, and mitigated through regular site visits and practical solutions. 5. Ensure appropriate measuring and monitoring of EHS issues is undertaken and reported accurately and transparently. 6. Provide advice and support to Division/BU management on EHS compliance. 7. Assist in the completion of risk assessments & JSA where required and ensure regular reviews and mitigation measures. 8. Ensure all accidents, diseases, and dangerous occurrences are reported to statutory bodies within defined legal framework and timelines. 9. Record, report, and investigate all accidents and near misses, identifying and implementing corrective/preventive actions. 10. Maintain and update relevant EHS records including policy documentation, risk assessments, safety data sheets, registers, fire drills, and training records. 11. Ensure all employees, temporary staff, and contractors receive effective training via the EHS competency development program. 12. Act on employee complaints relating to Health, Safety or Welfare through relevant company channels. 13. Maintain updated information of legal requirements, workplace hazards, and company EHS policy and procedures. 14. Encourage employee participation in EHS issues and ensure prompt resolution of complaints or EHS breaches. 15. Ensure adequate supplies of effective PPE are readily available for employees visiting client premises. 16. Prepare and ensure on-time submission of EHS reports as per defined frequency.

1. Degree or recognized Diploma in Engineering or Science (Physics or Chemistry). 2. Advance diploma in Industrial Safety & Occupation Health, recognized from state board of technical education or equivalent. 3. Minimum 7 years of experience in the field of Industrial Safety & Health in construction, Power plant, manufacturing, engineering, etc. 4. Certified Lead Auditor (Desirable). 5. NEBOSH IGC Certificate (Desirable). 6. Strong experience in 'on the job' coaching & training. 7. Good communication skills - Fluent English both spoken and written. 8. Good hands-on MS Power Point, Excel & Word. 9. Ready to travel frequently.
