Job description

The Site Safety Manager at Nesma & Partners develops and maintains effective health, safety, and environmental programs, contributing to a workplace where employees work confidently with prioritized safety and environmental sustainability as core values. Key responsibilities include strategic HSSE planning, team leadership, risk management, training, incident investigation, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement across EPC projects in Riyadh.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure effective cascading of the HSSE strategy into operating plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with interfacing departmental strategies. 2. Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through leadership of the HSSE department, setting individual objectives, managing performance, and motivating staff. 3. Lead talent development initiatives for the assigned department in collaboration with technical experts. 4. Drive adherence to organizational values and ethics within the assigned department. 5. Manage and ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures, and controls covering all HSSE department activities. 6. Develop, communicate, and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards. 7. Identify potential hazards, assess workplace risks, and implement strategies to mitigate risks and prevent accidents. 8. Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels to promote awareness of safety practices, emergency response, and environmental protection. 9. Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. 10. Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to promote HSE initiatives and share best practices. 11. Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices. 12. Manage the implementation of corporate policies and processes to promote a culture focusing on world-class QHSE standards. 13. Ensure all HSSE reports are prepared timely and accurately in line with Nesma & Partners policies and quality standards.

Education qualifications

1. Bachelor's in Engineering, or any other related field. 2. Minimum of 6 years of related HSE experience, with 2 years of growing managerial accountability in similar positions. 3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certifications preferred. 4. Experience in the EPC industry preferred. 5. Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills preferred.
