Specialist - HSE (Emirati Talent)

EDGE Group PJSC is hiring a Specialist - HSE (Emirati Talent) in Abu Dhabi to support its LAHAB entity. The role involves implementing Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment plans, executing risk assessments, and carrying out safety audits within heavy manufacturing operations. Candidates require a relevant Bachelor's degree, NEBOSH or ADVETI certification, and 5+ years of HSE experience.

The Specialist - HSE in LAHAB will efficiently implement Occupational Safety, Health and Environment plans to ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, and governmental requirements. Key duties include maintaining a safe workplace, conducting workplace inspections, managing accident investigations, establishing audit programs, and ensuring all OSHE standard operating procedures are enforced across heavy manufacturing operations.

1. Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health. 2. Ensure all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to, regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated. 3. Circulate OSHE materials, standard operating procedures, training notifications, and general occupational safety information to department members. 4. Ensure all accidents are documented, investigated, and recommended improvements implemented. 5. Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations. 6. Periodically inspect the workplace to identify safety and health issues, deficiencies, and hazards, bringing them to the attention of responsible parties to ensure resolution. 7. Ensure responsibilities listed for the Safety team under OSHE standard operating procedures are completed. 8. Maintain full and accurate health and safety training records. 9. Establish a full program of documented health & safety inspections, audits, and checks. 10. Carry out monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, hose cabinets, and first aid kits. 11. Accompany staff from external OSH regulatory agencies during inspections and follow up on noted deficiencies. 12. Assist supervisors with incident/accident reporting and support EHS during investigations. 13. Keep the Department Head informed on all HSE matters.

1. Bachelor degree in a relevant field 2. Occupational Safety and Health Diploma, NEBOSH General Certificate, or NEBOSH International Diploma 3. ADVETI Certified OSH Practitioner 4. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., HSE Auditor, First Aid, CPR, and Firefighting certified) 5. 5+ years of HSE experience within the heavy manufacturing industry 6. Proven experience providing support on functional projects related to the section through documentation, data collection, analysis, planning, and coordination 7. Demonstrated experience with presenting regular reports on section activities to relevant stakeholders 8. Experience in facility inspections to detect existing or potential HSE hazards and determine corrective/preventive measures
