Job description

Parsons is looking for an HSE Specialist in Riyadh to join the team. Reporting to the Project HSSE Director through the HSSE Manager, the primary objective is to promote a safe and secure working environment in line with SAPL and Client policy and procedures. The role involves liaising with Project and Construction Managers to support the correction of safety deficiencies, managing contractor safety data and deliverables, conducting site and office assessments, organizing HSE meetings, and delivering awareness training.

Responsibilities

1. Collate, analyze, and submit Contractor data in a timely and accurate manner 2. Generate required daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statistics on behalf of the client 3. Lead by example by demonstrating safe personal behavior and represent the organization on the project site for all HSE related matters 4. Ensure Contractor key deliverables are prepared, reviewed, approved, and implemented as necessary 5. Follow up with Contractors HSE Managers for pending closeout actions of SOR, Abnormal Events, Audits & Compliance inspections 6. Conduct monthly office assessments (office inspection & Office Risk assessment) 7. Organize and attend HSE Contractors meetings, give presentations, and prepare minutes of the meeting 8. Arrange and deliver HSE orientation for new employees and visitors 9. Conduct or support HSE awareness training for Parsons, Contractor, and Client as required 10. Support incident investigations as required 11. Review information on first aid cases, near misses, injuries, damages, and losses and review overall HSE performance during project execution 12. Liaise with client representatives as required on all HSE matters in a professional and responsible manner 13. Maintain flexibility in working schedules to ensure adequate HSE cover during shift and weekend working

Education qualifications

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience 2. Essential experience in KSA (Saudi Arabia) 3. Degree or Diploma in safety, health, engineering, or related field 4. Professional Membership (IOSH, IIRSM) 5. Strong report writing and data gathering skills 6. Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative 7. Good communication skills with strong command of English 8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
