Job description

Adani Power Limited is seeking an Associate Manager - Fire & Safety for its site in Udupi, Karnataka. The position oversees plant fire safety management, safety training, emergency preparedness, work permit issuance, regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and safety audits. The candidate will also drive process automation and digitization initiatives within EHS operations.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct Safety induction Training and vertigo test for new staff and workers of agencies. 2. Support safety campaigns and participate in mock drills to prepare staff for emergency situations. 3. Conduct various EHS Training programs and track training data. 4. Provide support and required information for investigation of near-miss incidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement preventive measures. 5. Conduct awareness sessions for agency workmen to reinforce safety standards. 6. Track and ensure monthly safety virus campaigns to highlight and mitigate potential safety risks. 7. Provide support for daily, weekly, and monthly audits and inspections to maintain high safety standards. 8. Conduct weekly "Halla Boll" at assigned area, prepare reports, enter observations in GENSUITE, and monitor compliance. 9. Conduct Action Employee Can Take (AECT) in all PIC's. 10. Upload daily safety observations for the whole plant in GENSUITE. 11. Prepare data and applications for National Awards for Safety (e.g., NSC Safety Award) to recognize and promote safety achievements. 12. Ensure the display of safety signages and manage the availability and usage of PPEs by staff and agency workers. 13. Review contractual documents of agencies to determine defined area safety requirements. 14. Provide input for preparation of Monthly MIS reports and Head Office submissions. 15. Issue special permits (Height, Confined, Hot, Opening in Floors, Radiography, Excavation) and audit safety work permits. 16. Ensure adherence to IMS, AWMS, DISHA, CHETNA guidelines, and Legatrix compliance for safety regulations. 17. Prepare activities and reports for AOH/COH and monitor compliance of safety requirements. 18. Implement RVDTS and represent its committee. 19. Execute comprehensive digitization and automation strategies to optimize operational efficiency and process improvements.
