Sr. Security Assistant

Qatar Fertiliser Company (QAFCO) is hiring a Sr. Security Assistant in Mesaieed, Qatar. The role involves managing site security operations, access control, fence patrolling, CCTV monitoring, and supervising security personnel. Candidates require a Higher Secondary diploma and at least 5 years of relevant security experience.

The Sr. Security Assistant has prime responsibility for assisting the Senior Security Officer/Site Security Officer in managing all activities related to Security at the Company’s site/facilities. The role holder will be required to act as Senior Security Officer/Site Security Officer if and when required, administering and following up on day-to-day security operations, facility access, fence patrolling, CCTV monitoring, and team supervision.

1. Assist in coordinating and supervising day-to-day functioning of the Security Team in order to meet customer requirements. 2. Supervise the main gate and check the company's fence and also check other gates/premises periodically. 3. Monitoring car park condition / signs. 4. Checking materials in / out from the company's premises. 5. Control of vehicles access to the company's premises. 6. Patrolling fences and gates. 7. Carry out risk assessments for activities related to Security Team personnel and review them regularly. 8. Prepare reports on various surveys carried out as requested by the Senior/Site Security Officer and provide recommendations, if required. 9. Participate in studies, investigation and improvement projects related to security. 10. Contribute to improving the practices and facilities related to Security. 11. Ensuring maintenance of main barrier gate and turnstile by coordinating with the concerned trade. 12. Ensure that Security staffs are trained on their role. 13. Provide information, demonstration on security check. 14. Work closely with staff of different level within the organization for various activities like assignment of routine jobs within security group, follow-up of relevant projects. 15. Participate in meetings/discussions and communicate with external parties in the field of interest. 16. CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, and access control operations. 17. Conduct refresher training on procedures. 18. Ensure adherence to organizational security policies and regulatory requirements. 19. Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. 20. Maintain updated records of incidents, patrol logs, access lists, and equipment. 21. Coordinate with internal teams and external authorities when required. 22. Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs.

1. Minimum Higher Secondary School (12 years) in relevant discipline. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. 3. Having Relevant training courses in Security. 4. Having good proficiency in English is a must and good Arabic (spoken and written) is an additional advantage. 5. Having good computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Application. 6. Having good skill to operate CCTV monitoring, and access control.
