HSE - Manager/Engineer

Larsen & Toubro is hiring an HSE Manager/Engineer with 10–25 years of experience for its Offshore Wind Business in Chennai. The successful candidate will lead HSE operations, conduct inspections and audits, oversee incident investigations, and enforce ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 regulatory compliance.

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an experienced HSE Manager/Engineer for its Offshore Wind Business (L&T Energy) in Chennai. The role involves managing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental operations, implementing safety policies, conducting audits, performing risk assessments, and ensuring full compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards across high-risk offshore wind project activities.

1. Implement and enforce HSE policies and procedures. 2. Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits. 3. Identify hazards and perform risk assessments (JSA). 4. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory safety standards. 5. Monitor high-risk activities (height work, confined space, hot work). 6. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses. 7. Prepare incident reports and root cause analysis. 8. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). 9. Conduct safety induction and training programs. 10. Deliver toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions. 11. Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation. 12. Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001). 13. Develop and implement emergency response plans (ERP). 14. Conduct mock drills and evacuation exercises. 15. Ensure availability and maintenance of safety equipment and PPE. 16. Monitor environmental compliance (waste, pollution control). 17. Promote safe work culture and employee participation. 18. Coordinate with management and regulatory authorities.
