Job description

Chief HSES (Health Safety Environment and Sustainability) Experience: 15+ years Location: Bokaro Qualification: B.E/B. Tech/PGD in safety or relevant degree We are looking for a leader with a transformational outlook, strong business acumen, and proven capabilities in delivering outcomes and driving radical change. Roles & Responsibilities: • Ensure environment, health, and safety at workplace with zero harm, zero discharge and zero waste • Ensure compliance and effective implementation on Safety Performance Standards and Procedures • Ensure implementation of Health Safety Management & Process Safety Management System and monitoring the performance and developing improvement plans • Review mock drills and provide expert advice in HIRA & job safety analysis in order to ensure alignment of all safety procedures with Vedanta Safety Standards • Investigate the incidents to find out the RCA and provide suitable recommendations to avoid the recurrence • Drive behavioral safety and procedures by grooming safety commandos and driving reporting of unsafe act and conditions • Conduct safety inspections, audits, occupational health surveys, surveillance and field audits • Partner and coordinate with the O&M team in execution of all HSE interventions • Horizontal deployment of learnings from Safety incidents of all Group Companies and ensuring CAPA • Focus on digitalization and devise and execute strategies for up gradation of existing safety systems in line with best-in-class industry practices • Liaison with DGMS and other such appropriate Government bodies • Impart awareness training on safety policies, procedures and loss prevention principles What We Offer: • Competitive salary and benefits package • Opportunities for professional development and growth • A dynamic and supportive work environment • The chance to be part of a company that is making a real impact on the environment
