Senior Officer - Occupational Health & Safety

Sanad Aerotech is seeking a Senior Officer - Occupational Health & Safety in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role supports the implementation and maintenance of OHS practices, workplace inspections, incident investigations, and audit preparations within the Aviation & Aero Engine MRO division. Candidates should possess 2-3 years of OHS experience and relevant training/certifications such as OSHAD, NEBOSH, or IOSH.

As a Senior Officer in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of health and safety practices across our organization. Reporting to the Manager of Occupational Health & Safety within the Aviation & Aero Engine MRO division, you will be responsible for executing approved OHS procedures, conducting routine safety inspections, assisting in incident reporting, and maintaining compliance records. Your contributions will support audit preparations, approvals, and risk assessments while ensuring that complex issues are escalated appropriately.

1. Assist in implementing OHS procedures by applying approved policies at the operational level and identifying opportunities for process improvements. 2. Conduct scheduled workplace inspections and surveillance to identify hazards and unsafe practices, documenting findings and escalating issues as necessary. 3. Support risk management activities including hazard identification, basic risk assessments, and maintaining the risk register under supervision. 4. Assist in incident reporting and initial investigations by collecting data and documenting incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. 5. Help prepare and organize documentation required to maintain company OHS approvals and ensure accurate employee OHS records. 6. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, accompanying auditors, and responding to basic queries with guidance. 7. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of OHS records, including personal files of applicants and approval holders. 8. Assist in delivering OHS awareness sessions and circulating safety communications to foster a culture of safety. 9. Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall OHS operations.

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field. 2. Training or certification in OSHAD, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent (preferred). 3. 2 to 3 years of experience in OHS roles, ideally within an aviation or MRO environment. 4. Solid understanding of OHS regulations and OSHAD compliance. 5. Workplace inspection skills and familiarity with incident investigation support. 6. Knowledge of safety risk assessment methods. 7. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools. 8. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
